Meet Erika
Meet Erika Glenn
IT Project Manager Turned Healthcare Tech Visionary
Like most people in the healthcare field, my journey started with a deeply rooted desire to transform the lives of those around me, especially the ones suffering in silence.
As someone who excelled in school for most of her life, it should be no surprise that, as a little girl, I wanted to become a doctor (more specifically, an anesthesiologist), which was well within my reach.
Until it wasn’t.
Much to my dismay, my high school chemistry classes proved one thing: I was NOT built for becoming a doctor.
Now, I know what you’re thinking: This is the part where I overcome my academic challenges and become a thriving clinician, right?
Well, not quite.
In fact, my challenges proved so discouraging I quit.
Yes, you read that right. Not only did I abandon my childhood medical school dreams, but I also left the healthcare field behind and took a job doing the one thing that made sense to my brain…working in IT.
Little did I know that this perceived setback would prove to be a jumping-off point for my true purpose: Transforming the healthcare technology spaces and creating impactful solutions for complex problems.
Now, Tell Me If This Sounds Familiar…
Maybe, like me, you’ve found yourself struggling to see the big picture and allowing that pesky little voice in your head to convince you you’ll never be good enough to achieve your dreams.
Speaking as someone who started their journey by giving up the one thing I thought I was meant to do in life, I’m here to tell you that the voice is a liar.
Over the past two decades, I’ve watched countless brilliant individuals get bogged down by their challenges, leaving them feeling…
- Burnt out, frustrated, and on the verge of giving up.
- Unable to translate their big ideas into actionable plans.
- Struggling to identify the solutions lingering just within their reach.
- It is as if they’re meant to do something greater but can’t put their finger on
I’ve been there. I get it. And I’m here to help.
Since entering the IT field, my journey has led me through project management endeavors and technology sales. I was responsible for multiple functional areas of business growth, managed millions in P&L, had hundreds of employees, and drove double-digit YOY EBITDA growth. I eventually went to elite positions, including Vice President & General Manager of a business unit for a Fortune 500 company.
Now, as the Chief Growth Officer for Redox, I’ve used my natural skills as a problem solver to oversee the advancement of patient care technology, using our data- driven insights to power cutting- edge generative AI to enhance provider-patient outcomes.
So, how did I do it, exactly?
For me, it all comes down to three things: Resilience, strategy, and empathy.
Beyond devoting my spare time to working hand-in-hand with organizations that promote diversity in the STEM fields, particularly for young women, my mission to spark change in the lives of others has led me to something I never thought possible: Public speaking.
From sharing my story and offering hard-earned insights to helping organizations share their message in a dynamic way, I’m here to show healthcare and technology professionals that setbacks are NOT the end.
Instead, they’re just the beginning.
